FAITH FORMATION FOR CHILDREN is our religious education program for children, ages 4 - 6th grade. We meet 2-3 Sundays a month from 10:30 - 12:00.
It is a fun filled learning time with prayer, crafts, worship & praise, snack.
We use texts and materials,
approved by the archdiocese, to teach the Catholic Christian Faith which includes the Scriptures, Catechism of the Catholic Church,
Church history, Saints, Holy Days and Seasons of the liturgical year, Church Documents, Prayer, Sacraments and Justice. Catechesis
is based on Shared Christian Praxis, meaning that it is experience based because children retain 70% of what they experience and only
10-15 % of what they hear or read. This is also why the church says the home, parents and family practices are the primary teachers
of children in the faith. Children's Faith Formation includes family participation.
C.L.W = Children’s Liturgy of the Word is during the 8:45 a.m. Mass, this is a child's version of the Scripture Readings; explanations, and prayer of the Faithful, for children 4-10 yrs. Encourage your children to participate. Then talk with them about the readings after Mass. If you would like to help teach during this time please call 541-689-1054.
